Santa's Escape / 1989 Edited

John's Thoughts

Oliver Robbins (the little boy in Poltergeist) had been given a camera by Steven Spielberg to inspire him to make films. His first 35mm film was a public service short shown theatrically about the Santa Monica Mountains Park. Santa has a really bad night full of complicated mayhem and relaxes in the park. Oliver hired me to edit it. I wanted to do the music too, but at this point few believed me that I could score things. So I edited the film on a upright moviola which was dreadful.
